Celebration marks fifty years of design
The event marked the 50th anniversary of the jewelry house's Happy Diamonds collection. This line was originally introduced in 1976 and features free-floating diamonds. The gathering also included other ambassadors such as Karl-Anthony Towns and Liu Wen.
New advertisements feature model
Hadid is now featured in new advertisements for the Happy Diamonds collection. She wears a dress designed by Scheufele during the promotional shoot. The original watch style from 1993 is being brought back along with yellow gold options.
History of stainless steel watches
Co-president Caroline Scheufele created the Happy Sport First line in 1993 to combine diamonds with stainless steel. This was the first time those two materials were used together in a mechanical watch. The studio initially told her it could not be done, but she insisted on making it happen.
