ASICS partners with Camiel Fortgens to release handcrafted GEL-CUMULUS 16 shoes
ASICS SportStyle and designer Camiel Fortgens launched their first Crafts for Mind collaboration on the GEL-CUMULUS 16 in Amsterdam.
New Mary Jane and Velcro styles
The debut release transforms the standard running silhouette into two distinct formats. One version mimics a Mary Jane design while the other uses a Velcro closure. Both models feature layered leather patches and irregular stitching to create an unpolished look.
Green and brown colorways available
The green pairs are scheduled for launch on September 24, 2026 in Amsterdam. Brown executions will follow with a release date set for October of that year. These specific dates apply to the initial drop of the handcrafted footwear.
Crafts for Mind initiative details
This project serves as the inaugural effort under ASICS SportStyle Crafts for Mind program. The non-profit initiative supports mental well-being through creativity and intentional design work. A portion of proceeds from the sale will support this charitable cause.
