Anthony Vaccarello receives CFDA International Designer of the Year Award
Anthony Vaccarello will receive the CFDA's International Designer of the Year Award at next Monday's gala.

Career path before Saint Laurent
Vaccarello won the Hyères Prize in 2006 with his graduate collection. He then worked with Karl Lagerfeld at Fendi for three years before moving to Paris. In 2011, Vogue Runway began covering his collections after he launched his namesake project.
Design style and signature looks
The designer described his aesthetic as always black and always sexy. His collections featured thigh-high slits, cut-outs, and teasingly erotic asymmetries. These designs were typically accessorized with razor-thin stilettos.
Recent departure from the house
Vaccarello joined Saint Laurent in 2016 and stayed for a decade. His exit after ten years became the talk of the spring 2027 season. He did not go directly from Brussels to the 5, Avenue Marceau location.
