Alexander McQueen brand reconnects with Huntsman tailors for London fashion week
Seán McGirr reunited the Alexander McQueen brand with Savile Row tailor Huntsman for Sunday night's London fashion week show.

Huntsman returns to produce three looks
The tailoring shop founded in 1849 created three specific outfits for the Sunday evening presentation. This marks the third time these two London institutions have worked together on a collection. Previous collaborations occurred in 2002 and 2012 before this recent partnership.
Planning began eighteen months ago
McGirr arranged a visit to the shop at 11 Savile Row to research past orders. He found the historic premises significant because of their role in tailoring lore and film. The decision to reunite the brand followed his positive experience during that initial research trip.
Staff worked with shared history
Campbell Carey, the head cutter at Huntsman, studied previous commissions made by Alexander McQueen. He noted that researching those old orders made him feel a strong emotional connection to the work. Both the man and the brand had interacted with the house before Carey joined the team.
