99-year-old man becomes world’s oldest crowd surfer at Texas concert
A 99-year-old man from Ohio became the world's oldest crowd surfer during a concert in Bellville, Texas.

Record attempt preparation and setup
The man had previously gained fame for basketball videos with his grandson Ross. They decided to break a world record as part of a documentary about his life. Originally, they planned to use a custom board but switched to a stretcher because it flexed too much.
Crowd conditions forced route change
The main crowd was seated in chairs with gaps when the event began twenty minutes before start time. The team moved the man through the mosh pit instead of the planned straight line. He traveled in a U-shape from stage right to stage left.
Successful record break at age 99
The man stayed up for more than ten seconds to meet the requirement for the record. The event took place when he was 99 years and 274 days old. Approximately 20,000 people watched the performance in Bellville.
