Yuna Nishimura wins maiden LPGA title at Walmart NW Arkansas Championship
Japanese golfer Yuna Nishimura won her first LPGA Tour title at the Walmart NW Arkansas Championship in Rogers, Arkansas on Sunday.
Nishimura closes with five-shot victory
The 26-year-old player finished the tournament with a total score of 192. She entered the final round holding a five-shot lead over her competitors. Nishimura shot a five-under 66 on Sunday to secure the win.
Woad withdraws due to illness
England's Lottie Woad pulled out of the event during the final round because of sickness. The seventh-ranked player in the world was unable to complete her card. Two other players also recorded holes-in-one on the last day.
Iwai finishes as runner-up
Aki Iwai closed with a bogey-free 62 to tie for second place. Chanettee Wannasaen and In Gee Chun also finished in tied-second positions behind the winner. Nishimura eagled the par-five 14th hole during her final round.
