Shaun Edwards signs with Argentina until after 2027 World Cup
Defence coach Shaun Edwards has signed a contract to work with Argentina until the conclusion of the 2027 Rugby World Cup in Australia.

Current role with England women
Edwards is currently finishing a short-term consultancy role with England's Red Roses team. He will complete his duties there until the WXV Global Series ends on October 30.
Start date and upcoming fixtures
The 59-year-old coach will join Felipe Contepomi's staff at the end of this month. He is scheduled to work with the Pumas during their Nations Championship Tests in Europe this November.
Previous coaching achievements
Edwards previously served as France's defence coach and helped them win Six Nations titles in 2022, 2025 and 2026. He also spent twelve years working within the Wales setup between 2008 and 2019.
