Red Bull extends Laurent Mekies contract until 2031
Red Bull Racing has signed team principal Laurent Mekies to a new deal running until the end of 2031.

Contract extension confirmed by owners
The Frenchman will lead the team as chief executive for five more years. This agreement follows his appointment in July 2025 after Christian Horner left the role. Shareholders Mark Mateschitz and Chalerm Yoovidhya stated they are confident in his leadership during this transition period.
Recent race performance improves outlook
Max Verstappen secured victories in Malaysia and Singapore to help close the gap on rivals. The team finished fourth in the Constructors Championship with seven points separating them from third place. These results come after a difficult start to the 2026 season for the engine manufacturer.
Verstappen also renews his deal
The driver extended his own contract by two years to finish in 2030 earlier this year. Isack Hadjar received a similar renewal into 2027 after impressing during his first season at the Milton Keynes base.
