PCB launches $200,000 award for PSL franchise cricket development

Assessment criteria and timeline

Franchises will be evaluated based on work done from the third edition of the league through its eleventh edition. The board stated that only development activities between the two most recent editions will count for the inaugural award.

Scoring model and verification

Teams must first self-assess using a scoring model created by HBL PSL before submitting evidence to an assessment committee. This committee includes independent experts and internal stakeholders who will verify scores against data points, accounting for 80 percent of the final result.

Fan vote component

The remaining 20 percent of the score comes from a fan vote after franchises publish presentations on social media. Fans will rank development efforts following these published presentations to determine the final portion of the award points.
