Paul Rowley appointed Castleford Tigers head coach on three-year deal
Former St Helens boss Paul Rowley has been named as the new head coach of Castleford Tigers on a three-year contract.

Rowley joins after Carr leaves
Castleford confirmed the appointment following Ryan Carr's departure for personal reasons in August. The club finished second bottom in Super League with eight wins from 27 games last season.
Previous coaching roles listed
Rowley previously managed Salford Red Devils and St Helens before this move to West Yorkshire. He led Salford into the play-offs in both 2022 and 2024 during his tenure there.
Club hopes for improvement
Director Chris Chester stated that Rowley has a proven track record of building competitive teams. The Tigers hope he can rejuvenate the squad after missing out on the play-offs since 2019.
