New Zealand drop Chapman and Foulkes for India T20 series

New Zealand cricket board ruled out Mark Chapman and Zak Foulkes from the five-match T20I series against India starting in Christchurch on October 22.

Injuries end Chapman and Foulkes availability

Mark Chapman suffered a left hamstring tear while playing in a European T20 league last month. Zak Foulkes injured his right hip flexor during a recent training session with no return timeline set. Both players will miss the entire five-match series against India.

Clarkson and Tickner join the squad

All-rounder Josh Clarkson and fast bowler Blair Tickner have been added to replace the injured pair. Coach Rob Walter expressed relief at having experienced players available for the upcoming matches. The two teams previously met in the final of the ICC Men's T20 World Cup earlier this year.

Full squad list confirmed by NZC

The 16-member squad includes Mitchell Santner as captain alongside Finn Allen and Devon Conway. Other players named are Michael Bracewell, Jacob Duffy, Lockie Ferguson, Matt Henry, Bevon Jacobs, Kyle Jamieson, Adam Milne, Daryl Mitchell, Glenn Phillips, Tim Seifert, and Nathan Smith.
