Mourinho returns to Real Madrid for El Clásico against Barcelona
José Mourinho is set to manage Real Madrid in their upcoming match against Barcelona at the Bernabéu stadium on Sunday.
Mourinho history with the rival club
The manager previously coached Real Madrid between 2010 and 2013. During those three seasons, he faced Barcelona 17 times across various competitions. His record in that period included five wins, six draws, and six defeats.
Statements from the coaching staff
Mourinho stated that he does not look back at past decisions or regrets. He described the upcoming fixture as a significant game rather than just another match in the championship. Lamine Yamal expressed interest in seeing Mourinho again and enjoying the competitive atmosphere.
Recent Champions League success
Real Madrid has won five consecutive Champions League titles since Mourinho last managed the team. This achievement occurred without facing Barcelona during that specific winning streak. The club secured its 15th title in a ten-year span under recent leadership.
