Injury occurs in final minutes

Williams drove to the basket with 1:14 remaining before his left leg gave way upon landing. His foot bent at an unnatural angle and he was immediately treated by medical personnel. The game stopped for about five minutes while staff covered his injured leg with towels.

Teammates react to the loss

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander scored 34 points as the Thunder secured an 108-101 victory despite the setback. The guard was visibly upset and left the court in tears after the game ended. Coach Mark Daigneault stated the team would provide an update on Monday regarding Williams condition.

Other players also exit early

Cason Wallace and Jaylin Williams both left the contest in the first quarter with soreness issues. Those two players did not return to the game after their initial exits. The Thunder finished the match undefeated but now face uncertainty regarding their injured roster.
