Inter Milan beat Udinese to share Serie A lead with Roma

Inter Milan fought back from a two-goal deficit to defeat Udinese 5-3 on Monday and remain joint leaders of Serie A alongside AS Roma.

Udinese take early lead

The visitors stunned Inter with two goals in the opening 16 minutes. James Abankwah headed home unmarked after nine minutes before Jurgen Ekkelenkamp doubled the visitors' lead with a close-range finish seven minutes later.

Inter complete turnaround

Carlos Augusto scored for Inter before Nicolò Barella levelled 10 minutes before half-time. Marcus Thuram netted in the 59th minute, followed by goals from Francesco Esposito and Ange-Yoan Bonny to make it 5-2 with 11 minutes remaining.

Roma also win

AS Roma secured a 2-0 victory at Torino ahead of the clash between the joint leaders. Donyell Malen broke the deadlock five minutes before the interval after pouncing on a misplaced pass from goalkeeper Lucas Perri.
