Graeme McDowell confirms departure from LIV Golf tour
Northern Irish golfer Graeme McDowell announced on Monday that he will not join the relaunched LIV 2.0 competition scheduled for 2027.

Former champion ends LIV involvement
The 2010 US Open winner stated he has decided against pursuing the new version of the breakaway tour. He expressed gratitude for his time with the group and said he looks forward to his next career chapter.
Other players also leave the league
Jon Rahm, Louis Oosthuizen, Tom McKibbin, Tyrrell Hatton and Ian Poulter have all confirmed they are exiting the competition. The Public Investment Fund withdrew its backing in April after providing more than $3bn to the organisation.
New funding sought for relaunch
The league filed for bankruptcy protection in the United States last month while seeking new investment sources. It has secured possible financing from BC Partners Credit to move forward with LIV 2.0, though few players have committed.
