Goals secured a comfortable victory

James Garner opened the scoring in the first half before Hayden Hackney added a second goal. Thierno Barry scored the third strike for Everton during the second half. Dan Burn provided the only response for Newcastle United late in the match.

Grealish absent from the squad

The club confirmed that Jack Grealish could not play due to a disciplinary breach. David Moyes decided not to include the 31-year-old despite his return to training. This decision removed the highest-paid player from the team for this fixture.

Next opponent is Fleetwood Town

The Toffees will travel to face Fleetwood in the week starting December 14. Prime Minister Andy Burnham attended the match at the home ground. Everton ends a three-match winless run with this victory over Newcastle.
