China swimmer Yu Zidi wins record gold while Hong Kong team takes silver
Thirteen-year-old Chinese swimmer Yu Zidi won a record-breaking gold medal and the Hong Kong women's relay team claimed historic silver at the Asian Games in Tokyo on Sunday.
Yu sets new Asian Games record
The thirteen-year-old athlete secured first place in the 200m butterfly event with a time of two minutes and five hundredths of a second. Her performance broke the previous record held by Zhang Yufei from three years ago. Yu finished more than three seconds ahead of her teammate Chang Mohan.
Hong Kong relay team finishes second
The Hong Kong women's squad won silver in the 4x100m freestyle relay with a new record time of three minutes and thirty-six point five nine seconds. This result marks only their second silver medal in this event since 1994. Siobhan Haughey helped push the team into second place after they trailed in fourth following the first leg.

Yu described her winning swim as only so-so despite the historic nature of the achievement. She noted that her butterfly technique still lacks some refinement and expressed hope to improve next time. The Hong Kong team members were proud of their collective efforts to achieve this historic result.
