Amnesty International urges UEFA to suspend Israel over settlement club links

Call for immediate suspension

A human rights group stated that the association supports clubs located in illegal settlements. Steve Cockburn, the regional director for Europe, described the team's participation as unconscionable. He argued that funding the Israel Football Association risks supporting violations of international law.

The organization claims Palestinian families face displacement while their land is stolen during this period. Settlers are reported to uproot olive trees and erase local histories with military support. Amnesty says these actions occur while the team travels across Europe for competition.
