Dietary shifts altered aging markers

Participants who reduced dietary fat or animal-based protein exhibited lower biological age estimates. The strongest results appeared in those eating an omnivorous diet with less fat and more carbohydrates. These changes occurred within a single month according to the new data.

Study limitations remain clear

The researchers stress that these findings are currently preliminary in nature. Longer studies will be needed to determine if the effects persist over time. Scientists also need to check if similar results occur in younger populations or different groups.
