Delhi enforces new anti-pollution rules this Sunday
New Delhi authorities implemented stricter pollution controls on Sunday including higher parking fees and work-from-home orders.

Parking fees double for vehicles
Authorities doubled vehicle parking charges to reduce traffic emissions. Government and private-sector offices must now arrange work-from-home duties immediately.
Construction bans take effect today
All dust-generating demolition and outdoor construction activity is prohibited right away. Vehicles failing emission standards cannot enter the capital city.
Winter plan starts in November
Chief Minister Rekha Gupta stated that stricter controls begin on Nov 1. Previous measures failed to stop annual smog during cooler months when pollutants trap near ground level.
