California wildfire burns homes and triggers evacuation orders in Orange County
Evacuation orders are in effect across southern Los Angeles as the Norte Fire grows rapidly under strong Santa Ana winds.

Fire spreads quickly through communities
The blaze erupted on Friday and expanded to 465 acres by evening. Officials report that six homes have been damaged or destroyed so far. Strong winds are expected to continue until Saturday, increasing the risk of further spread.
Injuries occur during firefighting efforts
One firefighter suffered heat exhaustion while battling the flames in the area. Division 3 Fire Chief Mark Backoff confirmed that additional resources are arriving to support the crew. The fire is one of thirteen currently burning across the state.
Other blazes cause evacuations nearby
The Bryson Fire in Malibu has also led to evacuation orders in the Santa Monica mountains. That separate incident has grown to 147 acres and involves more than 400 firefighters. Multiple counties face red flag warnings due to dry vegetation and low humidity.
