Sindh Cabinet receives summary for purchase of 500 electric buses

Approval process for new fleet

The department submitted the document seeking official approval to acquire the vehicles as part of a plan to modernise public transport across the province. Minister Memon stated that the new buses would be introduced in different cities after the Cabinet grants permission. This initiative aims to ensure modern facilities are available beyond Karachi.

Delivery schedule and routes

Fifty double-decker buses are expected to reach Sindh by November 30 for deployment on various routes. Their arrival will increase passenger-carrying capacity within the public transport network. The People's Bus Service continues to expand with new routes aimed at providing affordable travelling facilities.

Public response in Qambar

Residents of Larkana, Qambar, Shahdadkot and surrounding areas have appreciated the modern bus service launched in that region. The launch received a positive response from the public in those adjoining areas. Officials describe the electric bus project as an important addition to the province's infrastructure.
