Prime Minister Shehbaz urges PTI to end long march before talks
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif in Islamabad on Tuesday offered fresh talks to the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf if they stop their ongoing long march.

Government offers renewed dialogue
The ruling coalition collectively decided to hold discussions with the opposition party. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif stated that these talks would only happen after protesters abandon their sit-ins and marches. He addressed an event in Islamabad where he warned against continuing such political actions.
Talks collapse before protest starts
Negotiations between the government, PPP, and PTI took place over two days in the National Assembly Speaker's chamber. Both sides blamed each other when the discussions broke down on Sunday morning. The opposition party had previously postponed the planned demonstration from late September until October 4.
Economic disruption is major concern
The prime minister warned that road blockades could hurt exports, imports, and manufacturing activities. He noted that recent improvements in IT exports and remittances occurred during the last two and a half years. Officials fear that any damage to this progress would harm the country's overall development.
