Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif administers oath to four new Azad Kashmir Council members

Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif administered the oath to four newly elected members of the Azad Jammu and Kashmir Council in Islamabad on Tuesday.

New council members take office

The Prime Minister, acting as Chairman of the Council, swore in Ch Latif Akbar, Mushtaq Ahmed Minhas, Ch Muhammad Saeed and Ch Manzoor Ahmed. These individuals were elected by the AJK Legislative Assembly under Article 21(4) of the AJK Interim Constitution, 1974.

Federal government pledges resources

Sharif assured the people that the federal government would mobilise all available resources for the region's progress and prosperity. He stated that the Council serves as a bridge between Azad Kashmir and Pakistan while he works to strengthen that connection.

Leaders urged for cooperation

The Prime Minister asked the AJK president and prime minister to use their constitutional roles fully for regional development. He also called on officials to resolve public issues through consultation and mutual cooperation.
