Cabinet approves 557 reforms

The Cabinet Committee on Regulatory Reforms approved 557 changes covering seven multi-sector areas. Officials estimate these measures will generate annual savings of Rs460 billion for the economy.

SIFC to publicise new rules

The Special Investment Facilitation Council was directed to publicise reforms effectively so businesses can benefit from available facilities. An SIFC delegation led by Haroon Akhtar Khan will visit all provinces to take local governments into confidence.

Third-party validation required

The prime minister ordered third-party validation to independently assess the impact and effectiveness of the reforms. He insisted that these changes deliver tangible benefits rather than remaining limited to policy announcements.
