Committee oversees transparent bidding process

Federal Minister Ali Pervaiz Malik chaired the initial meeting of the LPG committee to operationalize the cabinet-approved plan. The group will review market supply arrangements and periodically assess pricing mechanisms for the fuel.

State firms get reserved shares

Producers must set aside 10 percent of their output for state-owned marketing companies serving hard-to-reach areas. This reservation ensures that remote regions receive a guaranteed supply of the cooking gas.

Daily purchase limits set now

The committee established a cap allowing each participant to buy up to 20 metric tonnes per day. Officials will also monitor daily production figures closely to maintain stability in the market.
