Netanyahu bloc projects 56 seats but falls short of majority in Israel
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's bloc is projected to win 56 seats as vote counting nears completion in the 120-member Knesset on October 28, 2026.

Opposition and Arab parties gain ground
The opposition bloc led by Gadi Eisenkot is expected to secure 49 seats. Predominantly Arab parties are projected to win the remaining 15 seats in the parliament. Neither major group reached the 61 seats needed for a parliamentary majority.
Individual party results remain provisional
Netanyahu's Likud party led with a projected 27 seats while Yashar followed with 21. The Together alliance and the Joint List were each expected to win 11 seats. These figures are not final as counting continues.
Government formation depends on alliances
Arab parties could play a decisive role if they agree to support Eisenkot's bloc. Their combined 15 seats would give that group a majority of 64. The results are expected to change as more votes are counted.
