CNN investigation reveals financial ties

According to a CNN report, Kushner's Affinity Partners has the largest stake in Phoenix Financial. This company invested at least $456m in nine firms linked to Israel's defence sector. Kushner doubled his share in Phoenix in January 2025, just before Donald Trump was sworn into office.

Investments cover multiple war zones

The report states that these companies supplied armaments for the conflict in Gaza and wars on Lebanon, Syria and Iran. Kushner's firm is also invested through Phoenix in entities used by Israel against Arab states including Saudi Arabia, the UAE and Qatar.

Kushner denies diplomatic benefit claims

Kushner pushed back on the CNN story, calling it deeply misleading. He argued that his diplomatic work did not benefit investments in Israeli defense companies.
