Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann wants to attend Lahore conference
Indian Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann expressed a desire to attend the World Punjabi Conference in Lahore on Friday.

Invitation and government doubts
Mann stated he received an invitation from Pakistani poet Baba Najmi for the event scheduled for November 27-29. He questioned whether the Delhi government would permit the trip, noting that officials do not allow him to travel to France or Japan. The Chief Minister argued that shared culture and similar problems require interaction between people on both sides of the border.
Assembly reaction and corridor call
Speaker Kultar Singh Sandhwan responded by suggesting the Chief Minister take assembly members along if permission is granted. Other voices in the house supported this suggestion during the session. Mann also demanded the reopening of the Kartarpur corridor which connects India and Pakistan.
