PTI confirms Sohail Afridi remains Khyber Pakhtunkhwa chief minister despite suspension
The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf party confirmed on Thursday that Sohail Afridi continues as the suspended chief minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa with Imran Khan's backing.

Party leadership issues official statement
PTI Chairman Barrister Gohar Ali Khan released a notification stating that Afridi holds the position. The central secretariat directed all members to stop discussing any replacement for him. This order applies to parliamentarians and functionaries across the province.
Emergency rule limits government powers
Governor's rule was imposed in the region on October 11 following failed talks between officials. Federal ministers confirmed that Afridi and several cabinet colleagues are currently in preventive custody. The party founder stated his support for Afridi remains unchanged during this period.
