Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif orders smart scanners at all international airports

New automated screening systems arrive

The prime minister instructed authorities to import and install these scanners without delay. Baggage will now be screened using this new technology instead of manual searches by customs officials.

Passenger harassment must stop immediately

Officials were directed to end unnecessary questioning of air passengers at airport terminals. The statement emphasized that passenger convenience and comfort are the top priority for all staff.

Staff training follows international standards

Airport service providers must receive training that includes courtesy and respect for human dignity. This new enforcement system aims to replace outdated procedures while preventing revenue losses from tax evasion.
