Fuel cost increase projection

The division projected a Rs2.56 increase for November bills based on fuel costs from September. This adjustment is expected to generate approximately Rs33bn for the Power Division.

Load management impact

Targeted load shedding of two to two-and-a-half hours reduced reliance on expensive furnace oil and high-speed diesel. These measures prevented a potential hike of Rs5-6 per unit that would have occurred without intervention.

Imported gas contribution

The provision of imported re-gasified liquefied natural gas at domestic prices eased the consumer burden by 83 paisa per unit. This step further contained the anticipated increase in the fuel price adjustment.
