PMDC President reviews MDCAT 2026 exam centres in Islamabad
Pakistan Medical and Dental Council President Prof Dr Rizwan Taj visited examination sites in Islamabad on Sunday to oversee the conduct of the MDCAT 2026 test.
National exam scope and results
The council reported that 138,158 registered candidates took the test across 34 cities in Pakistan. An additional international centre was set up in Riyadh for Saudi Arabia. A post-hoc analysis will review the overall process after the event concludes.
Punjab attendance and administration
University of Health Sciences officials managed 31 centres in Punjab where 47,501 candidates appeared out of 49,203 registrants. Vice Chancellor Maj Gen Prof Sohail Sabir visited six Lahore sites to check arrangements with staff. No untoward incidents were reported during the peaceful conduct of the examination.
Special provisions for specific groups
The President noted that special centres were established in Islamabad for candidates from Azad Jammu and Kashmir. All facilities provided to test takers received approval from the council leadership. Officials expressed satisfaction with the measures ensuring orderly conduct of the exam.
