Peshawar High Court seeks response from KP CM over alleged state resource use
The Peshawar High Court asked Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sohail Afridi for a reply on Thursday regarding claims of government resource misuse during a protest march.

A two-member bench led by Chief Justice SM Attiq Shah heard the case filed by PML-N MPA Qari Zahir. The petitioner argued that a previous November 2025 judgment banning government resources for politics was being ignored. He specifically claimed the chief minister used an official helicopter to travel to Lakki Marwat on October 4.
The judges issued a formal notice to the provincial chief minister and requested his explanation on the matter. Further court proceedings will wait until the administration submits its response to these allegations. The petition also mentioned a separate 2024 incident involving Punjab Police seizing vehicles during an Islamabad protest.
