Government confirms policy work complete

The Federal Minister stated that the Power Division has finished the required policy, reform and institutional work needed for the privatisation process. He noted that the formal procedure is now moving forward through the relevant forum and the Privatisation Commission.

Ambassador highlights strong bilateral ties

Dr Irfan Neziroglu emphasized that energy cooperation between Pakistan and Turkiye rests on strong foundations. The two sides reviewed three memorandums of understanding signed during a previous visit to establish institutional frameworks for electricity markets.

Officials said the government is pursuing comprehensive reforms to ensure financial sustainability and better governance within the electricity distribution system. These measures are designed to enhance service delivery through effective private-sector participation from Turkish investors.
