Pakistan raises petrol and diesel prices effective October 27
The Pakistani government increased petrol and high-speed diesel prices for sale on Tuesday, October 27.

New fuel rates take effect
Petrol now costs Rs379.25 per litre while high-speed diesel is priced at Rs395.82 per litre. These adjustments replace the previous weekly pricing mechanism with a daily review system introduced in July. The changes apply to retail prices across the country starting on Tuesday morning.
Global market factors drive hike
Officials attribute the increase to global developments including shifts in Platts rates and premiums. Brent crude futures fell by two dollars a barrel on Monday despite persistent attacks on Saudi Arabia. The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority revised ex-depot prices under the federal government's current mechanism.
Previous price changes noted
The government raised diesel prices by Rs1.91 per litre while keeping petrol unchanged between October 24 and 26. This latest revision follows that earlier adjustment to high-speed diesel costs. Levies and profit margins for dealers remain unchanged during this period.
