Pakistan government will partially publish civil servants asset data by December

Security concerns limit full disclosure
The government cited security concerns as the reason for not fully disclosing all assets of civil servants. Finance Secretary Imdad Ullah Bosal stated that only selected information would be published under prescribed guidelines by December 2026.
Parliamentarians question selective transparency
Members of the National Assembly Standing Committee questioned why full details are withheld when politicians including the president and prime minister must disclose their assets. Bosal noted that technical work by the Establishment Division and Federal Board of Revenue supports this partial approach.
Digitisation replaces manual process
The government has digitised income and asset declarations for federal civil servants in BS-17 and above to replace the existing manual submission process. The FBR will assess the data before reporting findings to the Establishment Division, which holds the power to take disciplinary action if discrepancies are identified.
