Pakistan government cuts petrol and diesel prices effective November 3
The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority in Islamabad announced fuel price reductions on Monday that take effect on November 3, 2026.
Petrol and diesel rates drop
OGRA reduced the ex-depot price of petrol by Rs3.40 per litre to reach Rs374.51. The regulator also lowered high-speed diesel prices by Rs7.76 per litre to Rs395.20. These changes follow a recent increase in diesel costs made on Friday.
Global oil market context
International crude prices fell roughly six percent globally as diplomatic talks regarding the Middle East conflict progressed. Brent futures dropped to $106.65 a barrel while US West Texas Intermediate crude declined to $97.75. The government adjusted local rates based on these shifting global market conditions.
Pricing mechanism rules apply
The new figures were calculated according to the federal government's established petroleum pricing mechanism. Officials issued a press release confirming that the revised ex-depot prices are now in force. No further changes to petrol rates occurred during the previous adjustment period.
