Pakistan FM Dar urges OIC to protect Palestinians at UN
Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar addressed the OIC Committee of Six on Palestine at the United Nations General Assembly in New York on Tuesday.
Ceasefire violations and diplomatic support
The official stated that the current ceasefire agreement is being violated almost every day. He asked member states to maintain sustained diplomatic efforts to protect the Palestinian people. The committee must mobilise political backing to ensure international law remains upheld.

Dar condemned continued illegal settlement activity and settler violence in the occupied West Bank. He described annexationist measures as serious threats to territorial integrity that require immediate attention. The situation in both Gaza and the West Bank demands urgent global focus.
Peace plan implementation goals
The deputy prime minister stressed the need for full implementation of the Gaza Peace Plan. Reconstruction efforts should remain led by Palestinians with a central role for the Palestinian Authority. Pakistan supports an independent state based on pre-1967 borders with Al-Quds as its capital.
