Pakistan embassy in Beijing holds ceremony for Defence and Martyrs Day
The Embassy of Pakistan in Beijing held a ceremony to mark Defence and Martyrs Day on September 29.
Officials attended the tribute event
Lt Gen Luo Huiqi served as chief guest at the gathering. Senior Chinese civil and military officials, diplomatic corps members, and media representatives were also present. The ceremony began with national anthems performed by students of Pakistan Embassy College Beijing.
Programme featured historical documentaries
Documentaries screened during the event highlighted the heroism of the Pakistan Armed Forces during the 1965 war. Speakers also noted contributions to disaster relief and international peacekeeping efforts. Chargé d'Affaires a.i. Aizaz Khan paid tribute to martyrs who died defending the country.
