Military aid commitment details

Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry told Independent Arabia that Pakistan will provide any assistance required to protect Saudi sovereignty. He emphasized that the security of the Two Holy Mosques is non-negotiable for Islamabad. The spokesperson noted that specific details of this support remain confidential as per alliance protocols.

Regional defence pact context

The two nations signed the Strategic Mutual Defence Agreement and the Makkah Joint Defence Alliance which includes Turkiye. Under the latter pact, an attack on one member is treated as an attack on all three countries. Chaudhry warned that collective deterrence measures will activate if negotiations fail and military conflict ensues.

Public reaction in Pakistan

The military spokesman described the anger felt by citizens from young children to political leadership regarding the attacks. He questioned why any party would threaten Saudi Arabia given its strategic importance. No formal request for direct military intervention from Yemen has been received so far.
