Pakistan and Lebanon ministers agree to expand security cooperation
Interior ministers from Pakistan and Lebanon agreed to strengthen security ties in Islamabad on Tuesday.

Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi met with Lebanese counterpart Ahmad Al-Hajjar at the Ministry of Interior. The two officials held one-on-one talks followed by broader delegation-level discussions involving senior officials from both nations.
Agreed areas of cooperation
Discussions covered counter-terrorism, anti-narcotics operations, illegal immigration control, money laundering prevention and cybercrime measures. Both sides also reviewed ways to improve collaboration between their police academies and training institutions.
Plans for future steps
The ministers decided to sign a Memorandum of Understanding soon to formalize cooperation between interior ministries. They also agreed to appoint focal persons to boost ongoing bilateral coordination efforts.
