Pakistan and France reaffirm commitment to strengthen defence ties
Field Marshal Asim Munir met French Secretary General for Defence Nicolas Roche at Rawalpindi on Tuesday to discuss regional security and bilateral cooperation.

The talks took place at the General Headquarters in Rawalpindi. French Ambassador Jean-Noël Poirier accompanied Secretary General Roche during the visit. Both sides discussed matters of mutual interest including regional security.

Field Marshal Munir stated Pakistan wants to enhance defence and security cooperation with France. Roche acknowledged efforts by Islamabad to promote peace in the region. The French official expressed interest in expanding cooperation in areas of mutual interest.
