Wind shear detection project details
Officials plan to install a ground-based network at Islamabad International Airport that detects sudden changes in wind speed and direction. The Low-Level Wind Shear System will relay real-time warnings to Air Traffic Control to improve safety during takeoff and landing. Construction on this Rs254 million project is expected to finish within six months.
Radio system modernisation agreement
The authority also signed a separate deal to buy new equipment for inspecting and evaluating aviation radio systems.
