Met Office forecasts rain and thunderstorms across upper Pakistan regions through October 15
The Pakistan Meteorological Department predicts rain, wind, thunderstorms and isolated hailstorms in upper and central areas from Saturday until October 15.

Westerly wave brings storms to north
A westerly weather system is set to enter the upper parts of the country on Saturday. This system will bring rain and strong winds to Kashmir, Gilgit-Baltistan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Punjab until October 15. Isolated hailstorms are also expected in these northern regions during this period.
Southern areas stay hot and dry
Balochistan is forecast to remain mainly hot and dry with only isolated rain possible. Sindh will continue to experience hot and dry weather conditions throughout the week. Some scattered thunderstorms might occur in parts of Balochistan but no widespread rain is predicted there.
Central cities face storm risks
Islamabad, Rawalpindi and Lahore are among the central locations expected to see rain-windstorms. Other major towns like Multan and Faisalabad will experience similar conditions on specific dates. The Met Office notes occasional gaps in the rainfall across these central provinces.
