Lahore High Court rejects petition to suspend detention of Imran Khan sisters

Detention precedes planned protest
The two sisters were ordered detained for 30 days under Section 3 of the Maintenance of Public Order ordinance. Their sister Aleema Khan was held in the same facility a day earlier before these specific orders. These actions occurred ahead of a nationwide PTI protest scheduled for September 27 to demand the release of Imran Khan.
