Train departure from Karachi scheduled

A train carrying protesters is set to leave Karachi on September 20. People are expected to begin arriving in the capital from all four directions starting that same day.

Party rejects government fuel relief

The party has refused a special fuel relief scheme offering Rs100 per litre discount on petrol for specific vehicle owners. Jamaat-i-Islami argues this package cannot substitute for the complete abolition of the petroleum levy.

Negotiations failed to stop plans

Hafiz Naeemur Rehman stated that the government agreed to demands during negotiations but failed to implement them. The chief warned authorities not to take action against protesters while promising a peaceful demonstration.
