Islamabad ATC grants bail to Imaan Mazari and husband in police altercation case
An anti-terrorism court in Islamabad granted bail to human rights activist Imaan Mazari and her husband Hadi Ali Chattha on Tuesday.

Judge Abual Hasnat Muhammad Zulqarnain approved the request after reviewing the defence arguments. The judge noted that police officers had submitted the required case record during the hearing. Both accused individuals must provide surety bonds of Rs 5,000 each to secure their release.

The couple faces separate charges related to obstructing a public servant and assaulting police officers. They received ten-year prison sentences in a prior security breach case last week. The court also imposed one-year terms and fines of Rs 50,000 under Section 186 of the penal code.
