Gold prices in Pakistan fell by Rs12,800 per tola on Monday following a decline in international bullion markets.

Local market rates adjust downward
The price of gold per tola reached Rs438,136 according to rates from the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association. The cost for ten grams of gold also decreased by Rs10,973 to settle at Rs375,631.
Silver prices decline alongside gold
Silver prices in the domestic market dropped by Rs325 per tola to reach Rs6,578. The price for ten grams of silver fell by Rs279 to Rs5,639.
International factors influence local drop
Global gold prices decreased by $128 per ounce to settle at $4,156. Analysts attribute the weakness to higher oil prices and increased probability of US rate hikes.
