Ministers agree to boost bilateral relations

The two leaders held the third session of their Joint Ministerial Commission at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. They expressed satisfaction with the positive momentum in high-level engagement between both nations. Both sides discussed ways to further expand cooperation across areas of mutual interest.

Plans launched for GCC free trade pact

Officials committed to finalising a Free Trade Agreement with the Gulf Cooperation Council within three years. Bahrain stated it is working to speed up the approval of this agreement. The ministers also agreed to establish a Joint Working Group on Trade and Investment.

Cooperation covers multiple sectors including energy

The discussions included trade, economic relations, investment, agriculture, food security, and information technology. A joint working group on energy will convene next month to discuss oil and gas. The leaders also welcomed closer engagement between their respective business communities.
